• The product range of the Bunker Vikas Sanstha is exclusive and varied, constituting saris, home furnishings, yardage, suit pieces, kurtis and stoles. Each of these items are embellished with exquisite embroidery and available in the characteristic silk – cotton blend, mercerized cotton – silk blend and silk by silk blend.
• Today, raw silk, which is 20-22 deniers thick, is used in the warp in almost every sari. Silk does not only impart a lustrous finish to the fabric but is also stronger and hence much easier to work with.  Sometimes zari is used with silk in the warp to make a full tissue sari but these are not woven very often. The thread count in the warp can vary from 4000 to 17000 and this will depend upon the quality required. More the thread count more will be the thickness and hence superiority of the fabric.
• In the weft, cotton, mercerized cotton, raw silk or kataan is used.
• In the borders and bootis, mercerized cotton, silk and zari threads are utilized. The zari, which is sourced from Surat, can either be real or tested. It comes in three separate shades: copper, silver and golden.

Saris

• Chanderi saris can be draped in summers as well as mild winters. Saris are available at a price range of INR 350 to INR 20,000+. Costly sarees sport real “zari” work (original gold / silver woven border). Chanderi saris are also available in Baag and kalamkari prints.
